Giblets

Giblets grew up at the rescue and quickly became the greeter and rescue's mascot. Giblets has always loved visitors, following tours around the rescue, and playing with the other dogs, cats, and new puppies. Giblets is a Livestock Guardian Dog which means that he protects the animals at the rescue from predators, like coyotes. Giblets' curious nature got him into a bad situation where he was found by a Good Samaritan and in bad shape. His hind leg needed to be amputated. Giblets suffered some PTSD symptoms but his resilient and loving nature still holds true. He has been learning to get around on three legs and will be back to his old self soon - minus one leg of course.

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."

- John Wayne

Gemstone: Montana Agate - this rare stone is said to influence the wearer by encouraging inner maturity, enhancing concentration, and strengthening memory. It can amplify one's own power of taking charge of one's life to become the person they want to be. Meditation is recommended with this stone to help the wearer open up to its healing energy.

Giblets

A Friend To All

With everything that Giblets has been through, he is still the most loving and easygoing dog. He is a true Guardian and adores all of his pack members.

Giblets

Stranger Danger

Giblets was taken from the rescue by a visitor in April 2022. He was found almost two weeks later in a field by a Good Samaritan. Giblets had a major injury to his hind leg and the doctors needed to amputate his leg to save his life. Giblets learned why you shouldn't get into a car with a stranger.
